Fashion International - London Fashion Week SS16

It has been nearly two weeks since Fashion International, London Fashion Week at Amba Hotel Charing Cross - the show was fabulous.
Innovation, Elegance, Style... Loved it!

The SS16 collections were from both established and upcoming, talented fashion designers.
Models from Top Model UK graced the runways again this year as they modelled for this year's statement-making designer collections.

The collections highlighted the designers' unique styles, qualities and originality - from their awe-inspiring personal touches, creative cuts and inspired designs.

Daniel Syiem
An ethnic, free-spirited & vogue fusion.

The first on the runway we see Daniel Syiem's lovely pieces with a play of textures, asymmetric, unproportional silhouettes to flowy, relaxed and beautifully cultured styles.
Fashion in its beautiful natural state with its touches of authenticity.
Cultured by touching base with ethnic fashion yet adding creativity and his own style by the unproportional silhouettes and cuts.

I particularly liked the east meets west aspect and the play on the cuts - I always love things that are unique, based on different cultures and make a statement!

Folksy, ladylike and fashionable!

AGA Couture London
Pretty, classy, womanly -  embrace the beautiful modesty!

There were elements of criss cross detail, lace designs, and natural colours/hues - from whites, beige/browns and golds.

There was evidence of pretty, free flow, tasteful, feministic characteristics..from the lovely lace and back detail and fem-chic styles - however I was not so keen of one of the pieces (below) the raw cut of the skirt was not aesthetically pleasing or the 3D motif on the metallic material - it just felt a little dated or a little OTT.

The criss cross detail and beautiful lace detail (image below) brought a modern and stylish touch to a classic, lady-like feminine style - such graceful elegance!

Forever Devine
Intelligence meets elegance.

Rochelle debuted her collection this year with her beautiful, ingenious, magical and captivating designs and silhouettes although some garments had some fitting issues - the unique, elegant power and style strongly resisted the overall impressions.

I particularly liked the beading and intricate detail along with the designer's unique style and cuts.

Here are my favourites from the collection.

The fitted waistcoat with a sophisticated silhouette, that is cut out at the back with fine, lavish lace adjoining uniquely as a cape of which meets at the back, paired with a stylish fishtail skirt (image above).
Simply fabulous!

The awe-inspiring, knee-length nude tone dress with a gorgeous, luxe black lace overlay was also a personal favourite - I also loved the cut of the dress especially how the bust area was cut and how it originatively reflected on the back of the dress (image above). Stunning.

These pieces are just...forever divine!

Yuvna Kim
Captivating bridalwear, occasion gowns and all that glam - it's a beautiful fairytale-dream!

Celebrity fashion designer, specialising in hand embellished red-carpet gowns and bridalwear without a doubt kept us in awe with her beautifully adorned gowns with their beautiful beading and intricate detail.
From sheer elegance, lace, tasteful ruffles and sensational embellishment - all in neutral, sweet tones with different styles and silhouettes added variation to the SS16 collection.

Exquisite Glamour!

My favourite piece would have to be the ravishing, lace bodiced garment with the tutu-style skirting (image above).
I was not too keen on the piece below as I thought it to be rather too simple in comparison to all the other pieces that were oh-so glamorous!

Lenie Boya
Fusion of innovative and futuristic vibes.

Boya's unique, extravagant style shines through her SS16 collection, still breaking conventions and exploring further out of your comfort zone.
It was all about daring, original creativity and exploring high levels of innovation and dramatic designs.

Not so practical but they certainly did draw attention and make a statement and incorporate quality work that leaves such an impression.

Awe-inspiring.

Also, the first British amputee model and paralympan, Stef Reid models for Boya this SS16 - she most-definitely left an impression, did great and looked amazing! (image above)

I must add though - I did like the idea of the swan dress (above)! It reminded me of Elsa Schiaparelli's style and certainly was pretty thought-provoking, not so much over the top and made a statement!
Dare to be different!

Omar Mansoor
It's a beautiful Imperial Romance.

Omar Mansoor based his collection on Imperial Romance, depicting the Russian peace post-revolution.

We saw beautiful, light tones and silhouettes, graceful simplicity yet statement-making designs portraying the pre revolution, the rise of it and the end of revolution resulting in peace.

From the charismatic whites with a touch of luxury embellishment with the Faberge imperial eggs - adding authenticity to the designs, transitioning to the stylish military edged pieces to portray the end of revolution peace of which was shown with white and gold silk flowers.

Personally, I am a lover of military-style garments as I adore the power and feeling they bring - so I would have to say, the classy-chic white and gold luxury military jacket ensemble (image above) was my favourite from Omar's collection.

Also, I do love a pop of colour but with a little variation and inspired designs, you can never go wrong along with with the classic whites and luxury embellishment.

Classic sophistication!

Paving their way to make their mark and leave an impression with their remarkable individual styles, of aesthetic quality and creative panache - it was definitely evident and clearly shown last week on the runway.
