Lady in a Red Dress!

So, we all know that every lady loves the colour red. Fact!

Daytime or Evening... On both occasions it makes a statement.

Just like the LBD (Little Black Dress), another must-have dress that must be stapled in every fashionistas closet is the LRD (Little Red Dress).

But...

Some of us experience the dilemma of...but which lip colour do I pair with this gorgeous dress? As you do not want to overdo it, go for the wrong colour or simply look washed out.

Don't panic!

When it comes to lip colours, I say, "When in doubt. Nude it!"

Anyhow, you still want to look your best. Well look no further, help is at hand.

I would suggest go for a lovely shade of red that pairs well with the colour of your dress, but also goes nicely with your skin tone.

Remember, not every shade of red is for everyone but there is a shade of red that is perfect for you.

Bear in mind, nude works wonders too!

So... 

When opting to wear a red outfit, nude works great in the daytime so you're not overdone. Or go for a softer shade of red...perfecto!

Working a red dress in the evening, nude is lovely if you want to go for the subtle, sophisticated look. But strongly recommend wearing a shade of red as it adds more oomph to the whole entire look.

Personally, I love matching a red lippy to the shade of my red dress. By complementing your dress with a similar shaded lip colour will make you pop more and work amazingly... What a rouge perfection!

In terms of accessorising, break the red up by teaming the dress up with gold accessories. In my opinion, I believe gold works wonderfully with red.

Minimal accessories work best. Why not pair the gorgeous dress with a simple earrings and necklace set or go for a pair of statement earrings or vice versa. But not both.

I went for red lips to go with my exquisite pencil dress with a tuxedo neckline by Paperdolls and Maybelline’s EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24hr Eye shadow in 25K glittery gold.

 In terms of accessories, I opted for gold strappy heels by Kurt Geiger, a sparkly gold clutch bag and filigree-style statement earrings.   

AVOID over-doing it with the red or accessories! The bold, red dress makes the statement ;-)
